Captain: Liam Killian
CAPTAIN
Liam Killian
Born in South Africa and raised in Cape Town, Liam has always had saltwater in his veins. He grew up chasing waves and wind—surfing, kitesurfing, freediving, and fishing—so sailing was basically inevitable. One day, he and a friend wandered into the Cape Royal Yacht Club to “learn how to sail” and somehow ended up on a racing boat. That was it… he was hooked. Not long after, he set his sights on his Yachtmaster and turned his ocean obsession into a career.
Since then, Liam has delivered brand-new catamarans on some pretty epic journeys, crossing both the Atlantic and Pacific. When he’s not out at sea, he’s often elbow-deep in boat builds and refits—because he genuinely loves how boats work almost as much as where they can take you.
Onboard, Liam is known as the resident fish encyclopedia (a title earned from a childhood filled with aquariums and an alarming amount of fish facts). He loves helping guests fall in love with the ocean, too—whether that’s spotting marine life, sharing local knowledge, or teaching you the ropes and getting you sailing with confidence.

CHEF
Maria Richerand
Born and raised in Mexico, Maria’s first love was design—she studied architecture and even worked in Paris for two years, refining her eye for detail, balance, and making things look (and feel) just right. Then she met Liam… and he gently (and successfully) seduced her into the salty life. She may not have known much about the ocean at first, but she’d always been drawn to it—and once she got a taste of life onboard, there was no going back.
Since then, Maria has built a wonderfully hands-on career at sea as a cook/stew with strong deck skills. She’s worked weekly charters in Belize, spent 18 months on the water in the Cayman Islands, and joined a 92ft sailing yacht in the Med—picking up everything from cheffing and service to tender driving, docking support, and guiding dives. A qualified PADI Divemaster (and known to have a few fun stingray facts up her sleeve), Maria brings a calm, capable energy to every day onboard—plus the kind of food that makes guests feel instantly at home.
Her biggest “wow, we’re really doing this” moment so far? Crossing the Atlantic on a 62ft catamaran—and she’s only getting started, with her sights set on earning her skipper’s license next.

Reviews
Captain Warren's expertise and calm demeanor guided us through the stunning turquoise waters, ensuring every anchorage was picturesque and every adventure—whether snorkeling in hidden coves or sailing to each amazing island —was memorable. His knowledge and research of the BVI's hidden gems added a personal touch that elevated our trip beyond expectations. I don't think there is anything he can't do. Divemaster, Expert Captain, but don't let him fool you, he is a Grill Master and has a creative side with the table decorations!
Chef Tamara, meanwhile, was a culinary wizard! Her meals were not just delicious but made with such passion tailored to our preferences, incorporating fresh local ingredients into gourmet dishes that rivaled any five-star restaurant. From romantic sunset dinners on deck to festive anniversary toasts with her touch of table decorations were amazing.
Together, they created a seamless, joyful atmosphere that made our milestone celebration felt magical. If you're planning a BVI getaway, do yourself a favor and request Warren and Tamara—you won't regret it!
We will be back!
John and Dianne
Wow! First . . . you both are amazing! I read reviews, was all onboard, then . . . we had our trip. There reviews didn’t do justice! This trip was planned as a family/sibling trip . . . add in a few birthday celebrations, its the best trip ever. It was the best family time together. Liams conversation, history of the area, keeping us safe and making sure all was good was 5 stars. Keagan’s cooking - 5 stars - amazing! The food, the presentation - to the birthday celebration she put together. Thank you both - you are very good people that made our trip so special and memorable. Keep doing you and your love for this - you make it special. Cheers to you.
When you have a trip like this and have the opportunity to experience so many new things it’s hard to look back and capture them all. My sister grabbed many. A highlight was the Liam private knot training session, very useful and fun!! We also had the opportunity to to throw up the sails watching Liam in his element was great. Keagan’s meals were perfect and tasted wonderful, she has a passion for food and its appreciated. To the reader of this . . . I may never meet you but hope that you had a fantastic journey as I did with this crew.
He had a great relationship with his first mate, and they were very hospitable, but also down to earth and easy to chat with. They definitely took care of us like we were their number one priority, but they were also just fun to be around.
My favorite thing about having Warren as captain on this trip was that he was the only captain I’ve had on any charter boat trip that liked to fish as much as I did and was cool with me fishing at any opportunity.
I would definitely sail with Warren again anytime!
His care and willingness to adapt to our every need was greatly appreciated and enjoyable.
As captain, his local knowledge, sense of adventure, and drive for experiences off the beaten track left us with memories not forgotten.
It was sad to leave the boat.
Our group are big into fishing and adventure.Once we made our captain aware of this,he went the extra mile to get us on the fishing grounds and off the beaten track, despite the extra effort.
His can do attitude and willingness to show us a good time was really appreciated.
Warren was a great host and team player. The team dynamics between him and the the first mate made everyone on-board feel safe and at ease
Overall we had a wonderful experience and would do it again in a heart beat.
Thanks to the crew for an unforgettable experience!

Thank you!
and healthy. From the canapés to the variety of dinners, every meal was amazing. She was also
very friendly and approachable, making our experience even better. We would love to come back
anytime.
impressed by how she managed everything with ease and with a smile on her face at all times.
We loved her food and couldn‘t get enough of it. This crew is highly recommended.
We'll see you again!
home from the beginning. We loved that the crew involved us in some of the operational parts of
the charter. We had so much fun being a part of it, and the meals on board were just the icing
on top.
Thank you so much for all your effort!
