Represented by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht GYPSY PRINCESS is a 45 ft sailing catamaran. The most appealing features of GYPSY PRINCESS are her impeccable styling and inviting socializing areas. GYPSY PRINCESS spends the summer and winter season in St. Maarten/St. Martin. She was constructed by recognized shipbuilder Lagoon in 2012. A well-done refit was delivered in 2018. The ingenious yacht layout features 3 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.
GYPSY PRINCESS is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The yacht layout radiates from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where most of the meals are served. The modern cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). The sailboat features 2 54HP diesels 11Kw generator brand new 2018 engines and a generator.

The annual CYS Share Our World Award 2018 was presented to Captain Biff & Amy for their efforts helping the territory recover from last years devastating hurricanes
Amy & Biff have been sailing together since 2003 when they first met on a beach in Greece. They were supposed to meet at the ferry port of sleepy Porto Heli but Biff forgot to pick Amy up and she found him instead at the bar on the beach, entertaining his guests! That was the start of something special and they have worked, lived & sailed together ever since. Having always worked in the marine tourist industry they love meeting strangers who at the end of their vacation leave as friends!
Biff
Captain Biff learned to sail at the Cub Scouts at a tender age and was hooked! As soon as he was old enough to teach sailing he packed his bags & found his way to the Mediterranean coast of France to start his first overseas instructor job. Working his way around France and Spain he finally settled down in Greece running his own sailing school on the chic Greek Riviera. Cold winters of Europe called him to work in Kenya briefly before settling in the BVI’s running luxury charters in warm waters!
Amy
Having learned to cook at the age of 9 so she could watch ‘neighbours’ (Aussie Soap) on TV, Amy added windsurfing & then sailing to her interests after finishing university in order to travel. First working in Turkey, Italy & France Amy finally moved to Greece & met Biff. Wherever she travels she picks up local recipes and cooking techniques, which she refined at the renowned Ashburton & River Cottage cookery schools, both in Devon, UK. Fresh, seasonal & local produce are her favourite ingredients put together in a fusion of worldwide flavours for all to enjoy!
Between them, Amy & Biff have the experience & knowledge to steer you a course to a truly memorable vacation. With their water sports background they are able to teach even the most reluctant swimmers, sailors, paddle boarders to confidently make the most of their time on the water regardless of age. Their years working in family orientated resorts in Europe also lend them to be dab hands at arranging fun and relaxing family charters. Known for their flexibility & competence, your wish is their command.

We had such an amazing time in the BVI. Our family has been here 4 times and hands down this has been the BEST trip! The difference in this trip was Biff & Amy.
First off Biff is a true sailor. On many of our trips we had to beg the captain to set sail. Some of the difference was clearly the favourable weather we had, but Biffs' true love of sailing was obvious. It seemed like we always were blessed with fair seas and following winds, or at least he made it seem like that. Similarly Biff made it his business to escort us on every single snorkeling trip.
Amys' attention to detail was no less fantastic. Every meal, literally every meal was amazing. For boat food to be that good everyday is absolutely remarkable. That level of service requires not only experience and training but ferocious preplanning. Obviously, they were successful because they cared so much. We could certainly go on and on with accolades about this trip. But ultimately we are just grateful to Amy and Biff for everything they did to make this such a wonderful adventure of a vacation.

We couldn’t have picked a better boat & crew. The experience of these 9 days will be talked about by our family for years to come. Ben & Owen took a little time to warmup but once they did they were sold.
The snorkel adventures led by Biff, the tube rides and learning to water ski! Seeing sharks, turtles, stingrays & jellies. After such full days to see Amys welcome when we got back to onboard was awesome. Her food divine. We can’t thank you enough for the care you took with all our meals & giving the boys their ‘special’ meals were so appreciated.
The movies nights were a huge hit! Jared enjoyed exploring the wreak in Anegada. The attention to all the details have made this trip so special. We loved learning about sailing and navigation. The history of the Islands, Pirates and local info was fascinating.

As you may have noticed I can be a man of few words… but I’ll try to put into words my gratitude for how you both took care of my family, how impressive your professionalism and attention to detail made this vacation a true, low-stress experience from before we even stepped foot onboard Gypsy Princess to the unfortunate day we needed to depart. I can’t think of a single thing that I could or should have been different.

I learned a lot from a sailing crew,

BVI Only charter February 2021
Awesome trip, and despite some paperwork, (which is much easier than filling out a credit card application) the entry in and out of Tortola was excellent. Planning on going back early March. Those that were handling the testing where all professional; very clean, and for the most part efficient. Testing on Tortola was quick/testing in Virgin Gorda a bit slower, but still clean, and results came back quickly.
The four days of on-board quarantine was fine, we did not feel any different other than having some bays completely to ourselves.
The boat was awesome. The crew pre-anticipated all our needs, not sure what we would have done without them; and the best part is that you can see that they love their job, take pride of ownership in Gypsy Princess, resulting in deliverables that are genuine.
I had expressed to Amy that I want a “healthy/low calorie diet) and she delivered perfectly. Biff and his masterful skills delivered smooth sailing in every aspect. The pair is perfection personified. Lots of laughs, some serious conversations, planning, and overall a balance of harmony that was wholly welcome.

I've been on many vacations and stayed at some very exclusive resorts so I wasn't sure how my first sailing adventure would compare especially during covid. I can honestly say that this was one of the best if not THE best vacation I've ever experienced. Being quarantined on the GP and the two covid tests were almost insignificant, having seas and coves almost exclusively to ourselves was incredible.
Your knowledge of the islands past and present, the 5-star food prepared on board daily, the snorkeling adventures, the sunset horseback riding on the beach, and the restaurant recommendation was outstanding. Your effort to ensure that everything was perfect (which it was !!) was appreciated and obvious. From pick up, to drop off, to testing, and to everything in between you guys were amazing.
I have already told several of my friends that the trip on the Gypsy Princess is a bucket list adventure and I hopefully will be sailing again with you in the future.

Thank you for being excellent hosts during our time in the BVI. The clear blue water, pristine beaches, Caribs, lobster, bars, rum tasting, bone fishing and snorkelling were all amazing to experience. Getting a taste of the nautical navigation and what it’s like to be a skipper of a boat like GP was awesome as well. I hope you both enjoyed our trip too. Unfortunately, I made sure we did our fair share of damage with the flag (ha ha). It can be added to the list of ridiculous things. I know Biff enjoyed knocking me off the peddleboards – all in the name of banter ;-)
In the future, I hope to return and spend some time here with you two again, whether it be with family, friends or a lady.

The GP is stunning. 5 star all the way. The crew kept it squeaky clean from the get go all the way up until departure. Surprisingly the cabins were spacious and comfy.
- Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes. No problems at all. Beautiful breeze throughout the day with the windows open and nice and cool at night with the AC.
-Was the food good and well presented?
The food was on a whole other level. It was better then any 5 star restaurant I have been to. The service we received will be hard to ever match up to. The food was divine and the selections were endless.
-Did you like the area you sailed?
The US Virgin Islands and The British Virgin Islands are gorgeous. Unlike any other area of the world.
- Additional comments on your charter?
I have never sailed nor been to the VI prior to this vacation. This is hands down the best vacation I have ever been on and will be nearly impossible to out do. I have no one complaint about this trip. The staff, the boat, and the location were marvelous!! This trip is 5 star all the way. The attention to detail and the planned excursions and day trips that were provided by the staff were something out of this world.

I think the food was Soooooo good! The water sports were soo fun. When we arrived I couldn’t even balance kneeling on a paddleboard but now I can even ski on a paddle board! At the pirate show I won a hook by answering a riddle and also won a t shirt from the conch shell blowing contest. When we went snorkelling I saw 1 ray, 6 sea turtles and at the beginning I saw a shark that was a huge nurse shark under the boat. I saw another one and accidentally brushed it with my foot. Thank you from Will.

The past week has been tremendously fun & interesting. You both made our trip that much more special because of your enthusiasm. I am sincerely glad to have had such a great crew. Biff you’ve given me a renewed appreciation fir all things seamanship. I can’t wait to get home & practise/pass along some of the information you’ve given me. Amy your knowledge of local history gave character to the islands and was a highlight of mine.Thanks also for accommodating my love for onions and cabbage. Well I can’t than kyou both enough for helping create a truly magical family vacation and honeymoon!
The kids were so thrilled to try all the new things I really appreciate Biff taking the time to get the kids comfortable in the water – I never though Lauren would get going as enthusiastically as she did. The dolphins & shark were over the top!
Amy – the kids so enjoyed all your stories, as did I. It’s nice to have a crew with so much local knowledge and makes learning fun & entertaining.
You both are wonderful teachers and a great team. It was such a pleasure to spend the week with you both!

AMAZING HONEYMOON!
Huge thanks to Biff and Amy for making our honeymoon so special.
Neither of us are sailors or water babies so the experience for us was very new coming from London.
Biff was incredibly patient and gave us confidence to swim and snorkel at ease. We always felt safe and as a result were able to push our boundaries.
Amy is an absolute angel - kind, gentle and incredibly informative and knowledgeable about local pirate history and wildlife; not to mention her superb abilities as a chef. The quality of food - up there with some of the fine dining we have ever had.
Thank you both a million for surpassing our expectations and giving us the best honeymoon.

We are back from the boat trip:( it was amazing !!! Even better then the last trip. The crew are the best , she is such a great cook and they both were so much fun ! I truly can't say enough about them and the boat!

Thank you for these amazing 10 days. You both managed to take us to new terrific, still pristine places, full of sealife – tarpons, turtles, blue tangs, spotted rays, puffer fishes, octopuses and so many lobsters…… The highlights were Maho Bay, South Sound and of course Anegada!
Amys food was delicious and so healthy, she managed to make fantastic, tasty dishes, different every day without counting the nibbles. …….
Biff made us see all the beautiful creatures and was my swimming buddy. We even saw hundreds of amazing flamingos at East End of Anegada. Seeing them fly away to return to the same spot was magic.
So Many memories that are now captured in a USB!! Truly amazing! Thank you both for this terrific, relaxing and wonderful vacation. Until the next time, Kwa-Heri,
