Reviews
Noam and Dalit were so much fun too! They work seamlessly together, without getting in the way and making it feel like they are working all the time.
I feel like we have made 2 new life-long friends.
Dalit is an incredible chef. Wow, every meal was a masterpiece in presentation and taste.
I would highly recommend them to anyone!
I wish I had the $ to do this every year.
Thanks again,
R
Our trip was fabulous! The crew was terrific!! Noam and Dalit are a precious couple.
The food was scrumptious! Noam was a great boat captain taking us to places that were more beautiful than words can express. Dalits cuisine was delicious every single meal. We got to experience Necker Island, which not many people get that opportunity, so that was great too!
We made some wonderful memories and would highly recommend this type of vacation to any of our friends.
from another lady in the party:
All I have to say is that the whole experience EXCEEDED my expectations!!!! The Yacht was awesome, clean, new!!! Noam and Dalit were so fantastic at everything they did. I felt so at ease with Noam being the captain, he was knowledgeable about sailing and the sea. Dalit was such a delight, and such a great cook. The food really blew our minds!! We had gourmet meals for every meal!!! Everything we ate was taken to a different level, just wonderful. I feel that Noam and Dalit made every effort to make us have a wonderful time. This was by far the best vacation I have ever taken!! We really would love to come back and bring our family! Hope to be back in the BVI soon!! Thanks for a great trip!
Upon returning from our recent trip all I can say is WOW!
The boat was beautiful but what made the boat special was Noam and Dalit. Their attention to detail and their fun loving spirit made our experience amazing. Also, the service and food were second to none.
Noams versatility and flexibility allowed him to tailor our experiences from extreme sports for a few of us, to scuba diving, snorkeling or just lounging for the rest.
Dalit was exceptional, her meals were on time, excellent, innovative and healthy (which is exactly what we had asked for in our request sheet). She also did little things that we wouldnt have thought of (like pack us snacks while we were on the beach) or just make sure that we had plenty of champagne when were away from the boat. She got an ovation at every meal! We were always sated, but never stuffed. Our food was fresh, healthy and delicious.
My survey responses do not adequately reflect how much of an impact Noam and Dalit had on our cruise. There were so many ways and so many times that Noam and Dalit went above and beyond the call of duty that it would take several pages to enumerate everything that they did.
Alive was beyond comfortable! Before the cruise, I was concerned that we would be on top of each other, but my fears were assuaged as soon as we got on the boat. There was ample storage, amenities I certainly didnt expect, and plenty of room to spread out on your own. My favorite aspect of the ship was spending time with Noam and Dalit sailing the boat. They were generous with their extensive knowledge and patient with my novice skills. I spent hours at the helm and loved every minute of it!
I loved the fact that we were off the beaten path. We would pull into a deserted bay that was breathtaking, drop anchor and spend the night. It was just incredible! Noams experience in area and ability to consider our preferences and the changing weather also made a huge difference.

Noam and Dalit were absolutely amazing. They were the perfect blend of service and hospitality oriented professionals, who also were relaxed and flexible enough to deal with the chaos of having 5 kids aged 8-11 on board. I have nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say. Noam in the water was also really great. He helped my youngest son overcome his fears of water, and by the end of the week he was often first in the ocean. All equipment onboard, as advertised were in great condition. - Noam and Dalit were very welcoming and helped us throughout the week on all levels. They also suggested and facilitated many great activities to do, based on what we had described as our interests. If we did a charter again, we would insist on sailing with Noam and Dalit. It was our first visit to BVI but I am sure not our last.
Dalit is an excellent chef and really made the experience a high end one. Noam got a wide array of Rum's and gave us the opportunity to sample many different flavors
We specifically asked for a separate meal each evening for our kids and have the adults eat later. Dalit and Noam accommodated this beautifully. Everyone was happy! Oh yes, we also asked for a bonfire on the beach, and we had a magical last night with a bonfire on an [approved] beach area in the BVI.
comfort onboard Alive: EXCELLENT
condition of ALIVE: EXCELLENT
cleanliness of Alive: EXCELLENT
congeniality of the Captain and crew: Above expectations. Could not have been better. They were so compatible with everyone in our group. They were eager to engage with us and we learned a great deal from them about sailing and the BVI. We enjoyed getting to know them and learning about what their lives are like sailing around the islands.
service of the Captain and crew: Always available for our every need. They anticipated well what our group needed for an outstanding trip. They were accommodating to our needs and gave us assistance whenever and wherever it was needed.
fun aspect of the Captain and crew: Every day was fun. They showed us places we would never have found on our own. The treasure chest expedition was above and beyond the call of duty. It worked out just as we had hoped even better than we had hoped!
expertise of the Captain and crew: Safety and knowledge of the boat could not have been better. We always felt safe and there was never any cause for alarm. This proved to be a very important aspect of the trip.
quality of your meals: EXCELLENT! Dalit handled our special needs without complaint and with great sensitivity. She went out of her way to make sure we had what we wanted. She never seemed to mind all the time she spent in the kitchen.
presentation of your meals: EXCELLENT!
Our group planned to meet in St. Thomas and ride the ferry over to West End together to begin our charter on board Alive! Unfortunately the couple coming from Arizona ran into airline delays and was unable to get into St. Thomas until the night after charter start. They were in communication with the broker who arranged with Captain Noam to have them join us on our sail in the BVIs without delaying the rest of the group. Seeing how calmly and efficiently [our broker] worked through this unpredicted delay reconfirmed for us how wise we were to book through this [CYA affiliated Broker]!
The selection of our crewed yacht charter was also perfect! We all were so comfortable on board this beautiful catamaran and Captain Noam and Chef Dalit truly were a match made in Paradise for our diverse group. We varied from a certified scuba diver, to recreational snorkelers, to a non-swimmer, but Noam made sure to encourage the level of activity or water sports that was comfortable for each person and kept us all engaged and treasuring many moments from our special vacation! We likewise were a diverse dietary group as one of our members was a vegetarian and another was gluten intolerant. This did not seem to be a challenge at all though as Dalit prepared and served the most delicious gourmet meals for everyone simply modifying the two plates that needed special requirements. She did this in such a seamless manner though, that no one hardly even noticed!
Day 1
After the initial six of our group went through Customs & Immigration in Tortola, we met Noam and Dalit and rode on their dinghy over to Alive. We were given a briefing on the yacht and selected our state rooms and then began our fun week with a traditional champagne toast! We then changed into our swim suits and set sail for Norman Island. It did not take long at all to settle into this idyllic lifestyle as we comfortably spread out on the spacious deck areas of Alive with fresh cocktails in hand. After mooring at The Bight for our first night, Noam set up a relaxing hammock for us to lounge in on the bow in addition to the dolphin chairs, two large trampoline nets, and several bean bag chairs which we had already been enjoying.
Day 2
The next morning our group of six sailed around Norman Island to Treasure Point where we snorkeled in the caves and the two younger (and more adventurous members of our group!) joined Noam in hiking up the rocky ledges to jump off into the water below. We all enjoyed this beautiful area while waiting for our friends from Arizona to join us. They soon arrived by a water taxi, so we toasted with more champagne and then enjoyed a superb lunch together dining in the back of our boat. With our group all united, we set sail for Peter Island where we anchored in Deadmans Bay. That afternoon we all had fun enjoying cocktails in our lovely infinity pool Later we went ashore and Noam led some of our party on a hike up the road to watch the sunset from a vantage point while other members of the group relaxed back on the beach below.
Day 3
The following morning we all enjoyed a perfect day of sailing and anchored at a lovely beach area in Trunk Bay on the south end of Virgin Gorda Island. ) After exploring the beach a little on our own, Noam suggested some fun water activities and we had a ball doing traditional paddle boarding. Later that afternoon we all went and explored the Baths. Some of our group wanted to swim over to that area; thus, Noam led them in the water and arranged a taxi ride for those who preferred to go by land. We all explored the Baths together under Noams cheerful guidance and ever helpful hands as we maneuvered up, over and around the huge rock boulders.
Day 4
Today we sailed around Virgin Gorda Island stopping in Long Bay for some wonderful snorkeling and diving before continuing on to Leverick Bay. That evening Noam arranged for a front table for our group (he coordinated with the captain of our friends on the other yacht to join us as well!) to enjoy Michael Beans Pirate show. Before heading to shore, Noam even pulled some pirate props out for members of our group to wear which added to the fun!
Day 5
We sailed to Anegada Island where we went ashore and rented scooters for the day. We rode around the island and visited Anegada Beach Club and Cow Wreck beach bars. Later that night after enjoying another gorgeous sunset we all went out to eat a delicious lobster dinner on the beach at the Wonky Dog restaurant. This was the only dinner we chose to eat off the boat (our food onboard was so awesome, why spend money elsewhere?!) and we were thrilled to have Noam and Dalit join us as our friends!
Day 6
Oh how I loved the view from my room! We started the day sailing from Anegada to Marina Cay where we stopped to snorkel and dive, seeing great underwater coral and fish! Then we sailed on to Jost Van Dyke Island with various members of our group taking turns at the wheel under Noams guiding instructions. We anchored in Diamond Cay and Noam once again coordinated with our friends captain on the other boat so they could come over and join us for the evening on board Alive!
Day 7
This morning Noam took us hiking on Jost Van Dyke island where we proceeded to my personal favorite part of the weekthe Bubbly Pools! We had a blast playing in the water and loved the way the waves came crashing over the rocks and then submerged us in white foam! After that we sailed on to another part of Jost Van Dyke Island where we stopped in White Bay for painkillers at the Soggy Dollar Bar, and then on to Foxys in Great Harbour.
Day 8
This was the last day of our trip and we sailed back to West End where we had to say good bye to all of our friends. Before we departed our yacht though, we gathered for a final champagne toast and raised our glasses to meeting in the BVIs again! We all agreed we had shared such an amazing week and indeed the end of the rainbow may be found by sailing in the BVIs!
It isnt often that a vacation turns out to be both energizing and relaxing - we had a great dose of both this past week. Big gratitude to you for sharing so much joy with us.
We are looking forward to our paths crossing again some day soon. Until then, all good things,
Mike and Lisa
Thank you so much for an incredible week! This was hands down the best trip I have EVER been on. You both are the kindest and sweetest people I have met and I really hope our paths do cross again. Wish you the best in all you do.
Bryar (age 19)
This week was awesome!! I love traveling and this trip was by far one f the best places weve been on. Dalit - the cooking was world class, never had I eaten such great food and the dancing was superb. Noam - I cant say how grateful I am that you taught me how to surf, also it means a lot that you shared and expanded my music library! I wish the best to your future travels and plans.
Justin (Age 17)
We cannot express our gratitude enough in how special you made this trip for us. We especially appreciate how wonderful you were with a group of teenagers which can be challenging at times. We were truly blessed with the weather, rainbows and especially the once in a lifetime moonbow. The day of surfing was a definite highlight. May you continue to be blessed on your journeys.
Kirk and Tia
Your warmth and enthusiasm are truly special. We will always remember this vacation. You two are the quintessential crew.
Noam, thank you for taking me underwater and sharing the joy of breathing while taking in beauty. Dalit, thank you for sharing your special place in the sail! So beautiful, relaxing, quiet, peaceful and special.
You are a Class Act Crew!
