Jake Dyer

Captain

American

Jake is an easygoing, personable Captain who loves creating fun, memorable experiences on the water. With over 32,000 nautical miles under his belt and extensive experience on sailing and power catamarans, he brings a calm, confident approach to running a yacht while making sure guests feel relaxed and looked after from the moment they step onboard.

Sharing his love of the ocean is a big part of what drives him. As a Dive Master and Watersports Instructor, he enjoys putting together active days of snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing and secluded beaches, and helping guests try something new. He believes the best charters feel effortless, so rather than following a rigid schedule, he tailors each day to what you want, whether that's an adventurous island day, a long lunch followed by a swim, sunset drinks at anchor or a quiet day relaxing onboard.

With a medical background and a strong technical mindset, safety is always a priority, but never at the expense of fun. Hands-on and approachable, Jake loves getting to know his guests and crew.

When he's not on the yacht, you'll find him kitesurfing, diving or surfing, and his goal on every charter is simple: an incredible week on the water that guests will still be talking about long after they leave.

Captain interview

Captain's Interview: Atlas in the British Virgin Islands

The captain of Atlas discusses the yacht's special ownership, the guest experience, and favorite cruising areas in the British Virgin Islands.

In this video

The special thing about this boat is the owners actually. They love the boat just as much as we do. They love to sail. They actually plan to live on this boat within a year's time.
Watch at 0:16

They can expect great food, great snorkeling locations, lots of fun, new experiences, and just building a good rapport with Brenn and I, I think, is one thing that really stands out.
Watch at 1:02

What I love about the BVI is the slow pace and the relaxation feel you get from it when you go from island to island. Each little island's got a unique little touch to it.

Captain interview

Captain's Interview: Atlas in the BVI

The captain of Atlas, a custom 60-foot luxury sailing catamaran, discusses the yacht's unique layout, its suitability for charter in the British Virgin Islands, and the guest experience onboard.

In this video

This is the first charter edition of this kind of boat. The layout has been selected, so it is a fully customized boat to suit the charter needs of the BVI.
Captain0:04

I think with this kind of a layout, with the option of being able to take out 10 guests, I do think that you need to think about booking it a year in advance.
Captain0:44

What we want to be able to deliver is we want people to be able to see new places, experience new things, experience the culture because every island is a little bit different in itself.

ATLAS

February 2026

What can we say...We were worried being on a boat for 7 days, but now we are so sad to leave! This trip has been one of the most relaxing vacations ever! We cannot thank Brynn & Olivia enough. They not only put up with our silliness but they were just quietly in the shadows, always making sure we were taken care of. Always a step ahead making sure we had everything we needed.

The food this week has been amazing and totally made the trip exceptional! We loved hearing about the area from Brynn, he always had so much knowledge about where we were or where we were going.

We have talked about if we ever did a catamaran trip again, it could not be any better than this trip! We have been so spoiled and we loved every minute of it.

Brynn & Olivia are not just the crew, you leave feeling like they are family. You two have such a bright future ahead of you!

Until next time!

In mosquito bites and glowing suntans?
In potato latkes and chanukah candles?
In birthday cakes and other fabulous desserts?

Thank you for helping us close out 2024 in the most amazing way with family and a fabulous crew that we will never forget.
